I know nothing else really about this flick other than it's being release by Lionsgate on August 4. I've seen quite a few Lionsgate releases lately, and frankly I've grown leery of the lion. As for the movie itself...I personally didn't like it and felt that the hype for it (a lot of people are calling it the best horror movie in 20 years) was far misplaced. It's a watchable movie, but it is just a job where Neil Marshall took the Aliens script and replaced "alien" with "cave people".

I had a chance to write a review for the Lionsgate release and really enjoyed the film. If it resembles Aliens at all it's only in a very broad and insignificant way (unlike the Dali photo and the poster). The scripts, like our opinions on the film, do differ quite significantly, however.
